The14 days Uganda wildlife and Gorilla trekking adventure safari is an inclusive fortnight safari. It will allow you to explore the remarkable physical endowments of Uganda the Pearl of Africa.
This pleasant adventure is quite unique in that it involves an encounter with the big five (elephant, rhino, leopard, buffalo, and lion). You will experience the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary on your way to Murchison Falls National Park.
Adventurous boat cruises along the Nile River and Kazinga Channel come with interesting views of the rare shoebill stork and golden monkey tracking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is worth your time. Get a memorable boat cruise along the source of the River Nile. Jinja city tour and whole day relaxation with priceless ambiance at Lake Bunyonyi.
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport and pickup
Upon arrival, our guide driver will pick you up from Entebbe International Airport and take you to your booked accommodation area in Kampala for dinner and a sleepover. Depending on your arrival time, you may go for an optional Kampala city tour or visit the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre. These are short tours but they are exceptional and welcoming. They are the icebreakers for your 14 days Uganda wildlife and gorilla adventure.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls and en route Rhino tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Your guide driver will transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park after breakfast. Enjoy the real African way of life while driving the Kampala – Bombo – Nakasongola road. You may stop in any town and buy a Ugandan-made Rolex (rolled chapattis and fried eggs).
You will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola district to see the Rhinos. You will learn about the Conservation efforts made to preserve the species. Get to know how the rhinos were on the verge of extinction.
Have your lunch stopover in Masindi town and proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival, check in to your earlier booked lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise along the Nile River
On your 3rd day of the 14 days Uganda wildlife and gorilla trekking adventure, you will have a morning game drive. This will enable you to see animals like elephants, buffalos, antelopes, and many bird species. Explore the park at length before retreating to your lodge for relaxation and a lip-smirking lunch.
Later on, in the afternoon, you will go for a boat cruise along the Nile River. You will enjoy spectacular views of water dwellers such as hippos and crocodiles. The boat will take you to the bottom of the falls. From here, you will hike to the top of the world’s strongest waterfall. This is one of the best encounters on your 14 days Uganda wildlife and gorilla trekking adventure safari. Watch the roaring waters as they penetrate the gorge. Take a memorable photo before heading back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Hoima. Visit Kibiro Salt Garden en route
After your breakfast, your guide driver will drive you to Hoima and visit Kibiro salt gardens. You will see the mining area for ash salt. You will hike down the Rift Valley escarpment to Kibiro salt gardens. Cycling is an exceptional activity that you will take part in on this day. Lunch will be at any hotel in Hoima town. Later on, go to your earlier booked lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Visit Amabere Ga’Nyinamwiru caves in Fort Portal and the Crater lake area
After a delicious morning breakfast, visit Amabere ga’nyinamwiru caves. These historical caves come with a fantastic story that has a great impact on the ancient dwellers and present occupants of the area. Listen carefully! You will have your lunch in one of the hotels in Fort Portal and then tour the Fort Portal Crater area. The area is dominated by several lakes each with unique history and beliefs attached. You will then go to your lodge for dinner, relaxation, and overnight.

Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi wetland walk
After breakfast, your guide driver will drive you to Kibale National Park for morning chimpanzee trekking. You will be briefed at the Visitors’ Centre. Later on, dive into the amazing chimp tracking in the forest or in their nests. You will relax and have your lunch in your booked lodge after the trek and later do a nature walk in the Bigodi wetland. After meeting the chimps, you will spend one hour in their presence and take as many pictures as you wish. You will also see other primate species as well as several birds. Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.
In the afternoon, visit the Bigodi wetland for birding. This area is one of the best birding destinations in Uganda. It is dominated by several bird species some of which are illusive, migratory, and Rift Valley endemic species. You will also interact with the local members of the communities.
In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and spend the night over.

Day 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, visit Rwenzori Art Foundation en route to Kazinga channel for an afternoon launch cruise
After your breakfast, your guide driver will transfer you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. It takes about 2 and a half hours from Fort Portal to Queen Elizabeth National Park on the drive. You will visit Rwenzori Art Foundation which is a rural art center. You will get a chance to buy and also make some art. You will have your lunch in your booked lodge.
You will then go for an afternoon launch cruise along the Kazinga channel. You will see different bird species and animals like hippos, elephants, and gazelles. In the evening, you will go back to your accommodation area for refreshments, dinner, and a sleepover.

Day 8: Morning game drive and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will have a morning game drive in the Ishasha sector to see the famous tree-climbing lions and other animals like antelopes. After the game drive, you will be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Seeing a lion on a hunt is one of the best encounters on your 14 days Uganda wildlife and gorilla trekking adventure. On your way to Bwindi, you may embark on an optional coffee plantation tour. This gives you an insight into the process of coffee production right from the garden. Lunch will be en route.
Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
This is the long-awaited day of your 14 days Uganda wildlife and gorilla trekking adventure safari. The day starts with an early morning breakfast followed by a transfer to the park headquarters for briefing. You will be taught about the dos and don’ts of the gorilla trekking activity. You also be grouped, with 8 people per gorilla family. The trekking begins there and then. After meeting the gorillas, you will be given one hour in their presence to take as many pictures as you wish. You are required to follow the gorilla trekking rules and regulations.
Return to your lodge for lunch and check out immediately. You will then embark on yet another forest park in Uganda – Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Upon arrival, check in to your earlier booked lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Golden monkey tracking in Mgahinga and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, you will do a morning golden monkey tracking in Mgahinga National Park. The park is home to mountain gorillas, birds, and several primate species. After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch.
After lunch, check out and embark on the journey to Lake Bunyonyi – Uganda’s deepest lake. Upon arrival, check in and relax.

Day 11: Relaxation at Lake Bunyonyi and visit some of the islands in Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast at your booked lodge, you will relax at your lodge, take pictures whilst enjoying the breeze at Uganda’s deepest lake. You will later in the afternoon have lunch and then go for a tour of some of the islands in Lake Bunyonyi. Visit Akempene Island (Punishment Island). The Island was used to banish girls who acquired pregnancy before marriage.
You will also interact with the local Bakiga and Batwa people and participate in some of their day-to-day activities. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and an evening game drive
After a morning game drive, check out of the lodge and head back to Lake Bunyonyi for one more last experience. Continue and drive to Lake Mburo National Park. This is Uganda’s smallest National Park.
You will have a stopover at a Hotel in Mbarara for a lip-smirking lunch. You will then continue to the park for an evening game drive. Enter via the Sanga gate and enjoy scenic views of the hills. You will also see zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, and gazelles, to mention but a few.
Check in to your earlier booked lodge for dinner, relaxation, and overnight.

Day 13: Game walk safari and transfer to Kampala via Uganda Equator crossing Kayabwe
In the morning after your breakfast, you will have a morning walk along Lake Mburo to see animals like zebras in the grasslands. Lake Mburo is also a prime birding destination that you should look up to during your 14 days Uganda wildlife and gorilla adventure safari. You will be transferred back to Kampala after the game walk. You will have a lunch stopover and an experience at the Uganda Equator. You will spend a night at your earlier booked lodge in Kampala.

Day 14: Drive to Jinja and see the source of the Nile. Departure
After a morning breakfast, you will drive to Jinja for yet another exceptional experience. Jinja is the source of the world’s longest river – the River Nile. You will have fun on a boat cruise as you see the source of the Nile on Lake Victoria. You will also have your lunch in one of the hotels in Jinja. Later on, you will be departing for Entebbe International Airport for your outbound flight. This marks the end of the 14 days wildlife and gorilla adventures safari.
